The Baltic Pit Stop

The HLS Vanguard would pull into port in Krakoshia and the Lord Protector would prepare himself for the meeting with the Krakoshian government. He hoped that the meeting would go well, as Britain always needed more allies.

It was a hot summer day, the sun beat down on the city of Riga with all its fury, baking the winter weathered people of Krakoshia. The British were welcomed warmly and the protector taken to winterhall the presidential house and seat of government for the federation. Jarlan came personally to greet the British representative.

"Welcome to Krakoshia, I hope your trip was fair and pleasant."

"It has indeed been pleasant. I wanted to congratulate your nation on it's independence. I know your people were hit the hardest by the war."

Jarlan nodded and walked the protector toward a couple of chairs each facing the other, he motioned for the brit to take a seat as he took his. "Krakoshia is still recovering from the war, several cities and towns are still rebuilding and it'll be a heavy cost on our fledgling economy. But the worst of it comes from the sheer loss of life, the red army and the nazis used us as canon fodder, and many Krakoshians desire revenge on Moscow and Berlin equally. It's a troublesome issue within the assembly. But enough about our political situation, what brings the British to our country?"

"I wish to establish relations with Krakoshia. As it is the first time since the war that I have had a chance to visit Eastern Europe. Both of us I feel can benefit from trade with each other."
