The HNMS Jacob van Heemskerck arrives in Portsmouth along with Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and her husband, Prince Bernhard. She had heard the news of the Windsor family's disappearance and the appointment of the new Lord-Protector. She stepped off the cruiser with Bernhard there to help her down like gentleman would. Time to catch up with some old friends and former rivals.

"Lord Protector the Dutch are coming." Snow looked up at the First Sea Lord. "I believe it is their Queen. What should we do?"

"Prepare the Guard. We'll give them a proper Royal welcome."

As the ship docked and the couple disembarked the Lord Protector would greet them. "Welcome to Britain your Majesty. I am Coriolanus Snow, Lord Protector of the Commonwealth." A little girl who was standing next to him would wave shyly. "And this is my Granddaughter Eva Snow."

"Thank you, Lord Snow. It is nice to see Britain again." She looks around wistfully. "And I am very sorry to hear that the royal family has fled the Isle. It truely is a shame and a disgrace that they left but I trust you have been doing your part well. But I am not here to discuss the royal family. No, there is something far more important that I must tell you."

Prince Bernhard squats down beside Eva and picks a carnation out of his pocket. "Here you go, young lady. A gift from the Netherlands to you." He holds open his hand offering the flower.

"Well you will find me all ears. We are grateful for the assistance that the Dutch and Danish resistance gave us when we were preparing our counter-strike against the Germans. Of course hear is not the best place to discuss such things, how about we take a tour of the HLS Victory while we talk." He leads the way to the old warship, which was undergoing repairs. "We are currently attempting to make her sea worthy. The Victory will sail again."

Eva would smile and would take the flower. "Thank you sir."

"You mentioning the Danish segways perfectly into what I have to tell. After Nazi Germany was defeated, both of our nations occupied parts of west and north Germany, somewhat inefficiently. Out of fear that another nation could crush the Netherlands as quickly as the Nazis did, we entered into talks with the Danish government and King Frederick IX about a possible union. Thus I have come here to announce that the Netherlands, Denmark and northwestern Germany have formed the Twin Germanic Kingdom of Denmark-Holland. We hope to confirm your status as an ally and trade partner."

Prince Bernhard bows before Eva and speaks. "You are most welcome young lady. Lets go see what our families are up to." He escorts Eva back to Snow and Juliana just as Snow mentions the Victory. "The Victory you say? What do you intend to use it for? Outside of being a very famous ship and Lord Nelson's at that, there really is no use for it in modern combat. You might be interested to hear that we, more the Danes' work then ours, have found the Tirpitz and towed it back to Wilhelmshaven for repairs."

"As long as you respect Belgium and Luxembourg's neutrality we would be willing to be allies and trade partners.  We take that piece of paper seriously."  As Prince Bernhard voiced his question Snow would chuckle.  "It's a symbol of British pride.  It would be an honor to have the ship floating again, even though it can't serve.  Now as for the Tirpitz, I'm fairly certain that RAF Bombers destroyed the ship in Operation Catechism.  I'm also fairly certain that the damage done to the ship is far more than what can reasonably be repaired.  After all the German battleships are not the best designed."

"Very well, while we would would like to unite with our brethren in Flanders, we will respect the the neutrality of Belgium and Luxembourg." She turns to Bernhard with a quizzical look on her face. "Are you sure they said Tirpitz?" "My apologies, I believe our communications have had some errors during integration. Now that I think of it, i believe they were recovering the Gneisenau from Gotenhafen."

"That makes far more sense. As for uniting with Belgium you would have to renegotiate the Treaty of London. It's just how the world works nowadays. Now if you want we would be willing to sell you old British Battleships. We have many left over from the war that the navy would be willing to sell."

"For now, we will focus on bringing more of Germany into the fold and rebuilding our economy."

"While we will eventually focus on battlecrusiers, we are interested in any spare battleships that you are willing to sell."

"Well we have a lot of battleships left over from the war. The two I would like to offer you are the Rodney and the Nelson. These are two of the Big Seven and served the Royal Navy well during the war."

We will gladly accept the two battleships. What do you want in return? Cash? Is there any other military equipment that you would be willing to give us?"

"Yes, we would charge a reasonable price for the ships. As for other military equipment what would you need? Our land and air equipment is sadly limited. Both of them were hit hard by the war. Our navy is what managed to survive mostly intact."
